Chimamanda Adichie bags Chieftaincy
Chimamanda Adichie

One of Nigeria's most famous novelists, Chimamanda Adichie, has been made a chief in her hometown. This is set to spur other younger women towards achieving greater feats. One of the most incredible novelists that Nigeria has produced is Chimamanda Adichie.

Chiamanda Adichie is an Igbo woman who hails from Anambra State, in the south-eastern part of Nigeria. She is a famous fiction, nonfiction, and short story writer who has, through her writing, impacted a lot of young people. On Friday, December 30, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie bagged a chieftaincy in her hometown.

Chiamanda Adichie was conferred the title of "Odeluwa Abba," which means "she who writes for the world." This title is indeed not a small one, and it certainly represents a huge feat by a Nigerian woman. The chieftaincy is usually one of the means by which honor is conferred on people in Nigeria, and it comes mostly from their hometowns.

Some of Chimamanda's works include "Half of a Yellow Sun," "Purple Hibiscus," and "We should all be feminists." Her works keep making an impact on the lives of young women in Nigeria as well as across the world. She is indeed a voice for this generation.
