Are Arteta's gunners gunning for the premier league title? The Premier League has served us up with a few surprises this season. From Thomas Tuchel being sacked barely 2 years after winning an unprecedented UEFA champions league title, to Manchester United have a horrible start but now possessing one of the best inform records in the league, Liverpool in 8th place after pushing the title winners Manchester city all the way last season, to Newcastle being in second place, and most surprising of all, the elephant in the tree; Arsenal topping the table after almost half of the season has gone by already.

Arsenal look to be a team in form, currently possessing the best form and achieving that on the back of a fifth place finish last season, where they narrowly failed to qualify for the champions league group stages. They have lost only once all season, and have dropped further points drawing to Southampton and Newcastle, in games where they were clearly the better team. But doubts remain over the capability of this young Arsenal team to produce a league title, the first for the gunners since 2004, 19 years after their last triumph.

Arteta has definitely done a fine work putting together a monstrous team, but can they go all the way? Manchester city have earned a reputation of getting the job done, and being behind has never stopped them before. At some point, last season they trailed Liverpool by 8 points and still won the league on the final day of the season, and currently sit 8 points behind Arsenal with a game in hand.
