A Nollywood comedy movie was released in 2021 and is now available on Netflix. It's the sequel (or remake, as claimed) of the movie "Aki and Pawpaw", which was released in 2003. The same actors are in it, but the settings and story have been modernized, with its director as Biodun Stephen. In the movie, Aki and Pawpaw now live in the big city of Lagos, with their uncle and aunt.

The Aki and Pawpaw movie follows four characters: Aki (Osita Iheme), Pawpaw (Chinedu Ikedieze), Pankshan (Uti Nwachukwu), and Samantha (Chioma Okafor). The character Pankshan is a social media influencer, and Samantha is his hard-working assistant. As the story goes on, their paths cross, sparking the comedy. The movie's theme highlights brotherhood, money, and fame. Aki and Pawpaw become famous overnight, and deal with the sudden fame.

With all the characters blended together, the movie has achieved its goal as a comedy. The movie has tried to show the power of social media that it holds in today's world, and also how toxic it can get at times. Throughout the film, we learn whether Aki and Pawpaw will be able to hold onto brotherhood along with their fame and money. One could learn from the movie, the influence social media has and how it affects people in the world today, both positively and negatively.

We follow Aki and Pawpaw to see if they are able to keep their brotherhood while becoming famous and making money. The ending is a bit predictable and not entirely satisfying, but it is still a decent comedy. Is this a movie you would love to see?
